Refund Policy
- Service
- Human.ai (휴먼ai)
- Effective date
- 16 November 2026
Human.ai's Instagram report comes as a free basic reading and as a paid deep reading that you buy in the app. This policy sets out withdrawal and refunds for the deep reading.
It is based on Korea's Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce (the “E-Commerce Act”). Where this policy is less favourable to you than the law, the law applies.
Draft pending legal review
This document is a draft that a lawyer has not yet reviewed, and it is not final. Bracketed text with a dashed outline marks information the operator still has to supply, and each “Review note” is guidance for the reviewer.
The short version
- The basic reading and the first look are free and involve no payment. The only thing sold is the deep reading, bought inside the app; the website does not sell it.
- A deep reading starts as soon as you pay. Once it has started, withdrawal is restricted, and the purchase screen tells you so and asks you to confirm before you pay.
- A purchase counts as used only once its report has been delivered. If a reading fails before a report is made, or is not started because fewer than 30 posts can be analysed, the purchase is not used up and you can try again at no extra charge. If the attempts run out without a report being delivered, you can ask for a refund.
- You can ask for a refund through the refund process of the app store you bought it from, or ask the operator by email or phone.
1.What is sold
Deep reading
- Product
One deep reading of the Instagram report. One purchase gives you one reading.
- What it includes
Both the coding of your posts and the interpretation run on the Claude Opus model. It shows every pattern and question that passes the checks made before anything is shown, together with the paragraphs that connect them.
- Price
The amount stated in the Terms of Service. The amount charged is the one the app store's payment screen shows before you pay, and it can differ by store and currency.
- How to pay
Only by in-app purchase through the app store, inside the mobile app. The payment is handled by the app store you downloaded the app from.
- When it is provided
The reading starts as soon as payment is complete, on the posts you chose.
The basic reading is free and available on the web and in the apps. It goes through the same steps with the lighter Claude Haiku model, shows at most three patterns and questions in all, and leaves out the paragraphs that connect them. The first look, offered when you have fewer than 12 posts that can be sent, is free too. Neither involves a payment, so there is nothing to refund.
2.What you are told before you pay
Before you pay for a deep reading, the operator tells you the following on the purchase screen and asks you to confirm.
- That the reading starts as soon as you pay, and that withdrawal is restricted once it has started. You go on to payment only after confirming this.
- The price. The amount charged is the one shown on the app store's payment screen.
Before you pay, you can try out what a reading is like with the free basic reading.
3.Withdrawal
- You may withdraw from the purchase within 7 days of receiving the written record of the contract (an electronic document counts). If the reading starts to be provided later than that, the 7 days run from the day provision starts.
- If you have paid but the reading has not started (including when it was not started because fewer than 30 posts could be analysed), you may withdraw within that period and receive back everything you paid.
- Withdrawal after the reading has started is governed by When withdrawal is restricted below.
- If you are a consumer living in the EEA or the United Kingdom, the law of your country lets you withdraw within 14 days of the contract. A deep reading is digital content, however, so once the reading has started after you expressly agreed to it starting within the withdrawal period and acknowledged that you would lose the right of withdrawal, you can no longer withdraw.
Review note
Under Article 16(m) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive and regulation 37 of the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, the right of withdrawal is lost only if the purchase screen takes, before payment, express consent to supply starting at once and an acknowledgement that the right is lost, and a confirmation carrying that consent and acknowledgement is given on a durable medium after the contract. The purchase screen's notice was written for Korean law, so check whether it meets these requirements, and match it to the way the app store, as seller or agent, handles withdrawal and refunds.
4.When withdrawal is restricted
A deep reading is digital content generated individually, after payment, from the posts you chose, and its provision starts as soon as you pay. Once the reading has started, withdrawal is restricted under Article 17(2)5 of the E-Commerce Act.
The restriction applies only if the operator has done both of the following, as paragraph 6 of that article requires.
- Stated clearly on the purchase screen, before payment, that withdrawal is restricted, and asked you to confirm it
- Provided a way to try a reading first, such as the free basic reading
If the operator has not done so, you may withdraw even after the reading has started.
Even where withdrawal is restricted, the rules under If a reading fails or you do not receive it and If the content differs from what was advertised or agreed still apply.
Review note
A lawyer must review this before anything is sold. First, whether the withdrawal wording in this section, and the notice and confirmation the purchase screen shows before payment (its wording, how confirmation is taken, where it appears), meet Article 17(2)5 of the E-Commerce Act and paragraph 6 of that article. Second, whether the free basic reading, which uses a different model and shows less, counts as the “trial product” or “partial use” of paragraph 6. Third, whether a reading that starts the moment payment is made, leaving the 7-day period with nothing to apply to in practice, could be challenged as a term unfair to the consumer. The restriction rests on Article 17(2)5 and paragraph 6; it does not rely on the made-to-order exception in Article 21 of the Enforcement Decree, because no support was found for treating low-cost automated output as meeting the “serious irreparable harm” condition.
5.If a reading fails or you do not receive it
- A purchase counts as used only once its report has been made and delivered.
- If a reading fails before a report is made, the purchase is not treated as used. You can try again with the same purchase at no extra charge. One purchase can start a reading up to eight times in all, the first attempt included. Before the reading, your posts are sent in parts to be coded; one purchase covers up to 120 of these coding requests in all, and only requests accepted as correctly formed are counted.
- If, once the posts have been read, fewer than 30 can be analysed because some were set aside for your protection or could not be read, the deep reading is not started. The purchase is then not treated as used and stays available: you can add posts and try again, or take the free basic reading instead.
- In case the connection drops and you do not receive a reading that succeeded, the same purchase can be used to ask again up to two more times within one hour of the first successful reading. For this, the app keeps the purchase it was using on your device until the report arrives.
- A purchase that has used up the reading attempts or the coding requests above without a report being delivered is not treated as used. The app does not close it, keeps it aside so that it is not used for the next reading, and tells you to ask for a refund, as set out under How to ask for a refund.
- The app does not use a refunded purchase for a reading, and you can buy a new deep reading.
6.If the content differs from what was advertised or agreed
- If the content of a reading differs from how it was labelled or advertised, or the contract was performed differently from what was agreed, you may withdraw within 3 months of receiving the reading and within 30 days of the day you knew or could have known of the difference.
- This includes the case where you paid but did not receive a reading even after trying again.
7.How to ask for a refund
- Through the app store: the payment for a deep reading is handled by the app store you downloaded the app from, so you can ask for a refund through that store's own refund process.
- From the operator: you can also ask by email (contact@craving.win) or phone (010-9027-0729). The operator explains the app store's refund process and helps you through it, and where the operator can issue the refund itself, it does.
- When you ask the operator, giving the app store you bought from and the order number helps the operator find the purchase. The operator does not receive your name, email address or payment details, so without these it may be hard to find.
- Asking for a refund is kept as easy as buying, and the operator confirms receipt of your request without delay.
Review note
How refund duties are divided between the app store and the seller for in-app purchases, and how far and by what means the operator can issue a refund itself, differ from store to store, so they must be checked against each store's developer terms. It must also be settled how the operator will refund when a store declines a refund that the E-Commerce Act requires.
8.When and how refunds are made
- Refunds are made within 3 business days of the day you withdraw.
- If a refund is late, interest for the delay is added at 15% a year for the period of delay.
- If you paid through an app store, the operator takes the steps that store's process provides so that the payment is cancelled or refunded without delay.
- The operator does not claim a penalty or damages because you withdrew.
9.Payments by minors
The service is for adults only. If a minor nevertheless pays without the consent of their legal representative, the minor or the legal representative may cancel the contract.
10.Enquiries and disputes
Send refund enquiries by email to contact@craving.win or call 010-9027-0729.
If a matter cannot be resolved with the operator, you may apply for mediation to the Korea Consumer Agency (한국소비자원) or the Content Dispute Resolution Committee (콘텐츠분쟁조정위원회).
11.Effective date
This policy applies from 16 November 2026.
Changed on 16 November 2026: an item on withdrawal for consumers in the EEA and the UK was added.
